1st day. Mexico City
Arrival at Mexico City airport and meeting with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

2nd day. Mexico City/Puebla
Breakfast at the hotel.Pick up the rental car at a nearby Hertz office. Departure towards Puebla, located about 130 km from Mexico City. Capital of the eponymous state, famous for its gastronomic tradition, ceramic craftsmanship, and colonial essence. Time available to visit the Zocalo, the main square surrounded by arcades and the ancient heart of the city. We suggest strolling through the colonial streets that lead to the Cathedral, which dates back to 1585 with its domes covered in majolica tiles. Overnight stay.

3rd day. Puebla/Oaxaca
Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards the city of Oaxaca. Travel time approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, we suggest starting the city tour, the capital of the eponymous state, from its historic center, characterized by its colonial imprint and rich in beautiful palaces and stone buildings. Overnight stay.

4th day. Oaxaca
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure for visits and individual activities. We suggest visiting in the morning the archaeological site of Monte Alban, the ancient Zapotec capital whose name means “white mountain.“ The ancient acropolis, considered the “home of the gods,” is located on the flat summit of a mountain that overlooks the Oaxaca Valley. In the afternoon, you can finish the visit of the historic center among museums and beautiful churches. Overnight stay.

5th day. Oaxaca/Tehuantepec
Breakfast at the hotel. We suggest leaving early in the morning from Oaxaca towards Tehuantepec, which is about 4 hours away. After about 45 minutes, we suggest making a stop and visiting the archaeological site of Mitla, characterized by the extraordinary stone decorations of its palaces. Arrival in Tehuantepec in the afternoon and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

6th day. Tehuantepec/Cañon del Sumidero/San Cristóbal de las Casas
Breakfast at the hotel. We recommend leaving very early in the morning towards Tuxtla Gutierrez to reach Chiapa de Corzo, which is located 320 km away. From this location, you can take a boat tour in the Sumidero Canyon where, according to legend, around the mid-16th century, after putting up a fierce resistance, hundreds of indigenous people preferred to throw themselves down the steep canyon walls rather than surrender to the Spaniards. Continuation towards the nearby San CristĂłbal de las Casas, a city founded by the Spaniards in 1528.In this location, the renowned Zapatista uprising began in 1994.Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

7th day. San CristĂłbal de las Casas
Breakfast at the hotel. Entire day at your disposal to visit the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, located less than 15 km from the city center. These Tzotzil villages are among the most visited by tourists for their picturesque religious rituals and grand ceremonial festivals held there. We suggest dedicating the rest of the day to visiting the picturesque historic center characterized by single-story buildings in a colorful colonial style.Churches, markets, and craft shops will accompany your stroll. Overnight stay.

8th day. San CristĂłbal de las Casas/Palenque
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, departure for Palenque. Along the way, there is a possibility to stop at the wonderful Agua Azul waterfalls, unique for their intense turquoise color. Continuation to Palenque, arrival and hotel check-in .Overnight stay.

9th day. Palenque
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, we suggest visiting the archaeological site of Palenque, the great ceremonial center of the Maya classic period, unique in its beauty and the technical perfection of its architecture and sculptural decorations, and the various waterfalls, immersed in the jungle, just a few kilometers from your hotel. Continuation towards Campeche, the oldest Spanish city in the Yucatán, the only port for trading the region’s products. Founded in 1540 by Francisco de Montejo, known as El Mozo, it is situated on a flat coast, facing the open sea and therefore very exposed to pirate attacks: it was thus surrounded by 8-meter-high walls, protected by fortifications and coastal batteries, of which some sections are still visitable today. Overnight stay.

10th day. Campeche/Mérida
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Merida, along the way there is the possibility to take an excursion to the Maya archaeological site of Uxmal. It is one of the most famous and visited sites, both for its good state of preservation and for the exquisite decoration of its stone mosaics in the Puuc style. Arrival in Merida and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

11th day. Mérida
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure for activities and individual visits. We suggest dedicating this day to visiting the historic center of this city, also known as the “White City” due to the predominant color of its houses. Possibility to spend the day visiting the countless Haciendas and Cenotes that the region is rich in. Overnight stay.

12th day. Merida/Cancun
Breakfast at the hotel. We suggest leaving early in the morning to avoid the hottest hours on the way to ChichĂ©n-Itzá, with the possibility of visiting the Monastery of Izamal along the route. Continuation to the archaeological site of ChichĂ©n-Itzá, undoubtedly the most famous of the Maya sites.The construction of the great pyramid of Kukulkán, known as “El Castillo,” which dominates the ceremonial center and is actually a Maya calendar, is attributed to the Itzá people.At the end, transfer to Cancun. Overnight stay.

13th day. Cancun/Cancun Airport and departure
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by rental car towards the Airport. Arrival and return of the rental car at the Airport. Departure on the scheduled flight.
